"Working on Wealth"

WOW! (Working On Wealth!) is a pre-GED program based on the four Making Connections pillars: strengthening communities and neighborhoods, asset building, readying children for school, and connecting residents to the workforce. 

The program, for the most part, is project-based and uses a constructivist approach to learning, and targets MC residents with low literacy levels in math and reading.  

The curriculum encompasses a holistic approach by incorporating basic academic and technology skills, employability skills, communication and problem solving skills, as well as learning to work and live as a community of learners.

More importantly, the program focuses on how the participants can learn skills to sustain employability.
